Kayaking on the river Anglin directly from Château Anand

For a half day of discovery leave Château Anand and arrive at Angles sur l’Anglin. ou will enjoy an exceptional panorama on the medieval castle of Angles.
For a complete day, go up to Vicq sur Gartempe not only you will discover Angles on the Anglin but also many castles which are by the water.

Outdoor rock climbing site at 10 min walk

The cliffs are located on the right bank of the Anglin and constitute a limestone rock with caves. The site known as “La Guignoterie” counts 120 tracks with a maximum length of 35 meters.
Contact the rock climbing and speleo club for initiation sessions for groups of up to 10 people (minimum 5 people).

Visit the stunning village of Angles sur Anglin, the romanesque frescoes in the 11th century abbey church of Saint-Savin, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Medieval town of Chauvigny with the birds of prey show in the old castle, the Bénédictine Abbey Notre-Dame at Fontgombault, the Castle of La Brosse at Vic-Sur-Gartempe.

Short and longer trails options are available for those wishing to discover picturesque and authentic villages between Angles on the Anglin, Saint Pierre de Maillé and Mérigny. The forest, rivers and cliffs are omnipresent. The area shelters a prehistoric frieze in the Roc-aux-Sorciers site, caves as well as troglodyte shelters. The Camino passes alongside the gate of Château Anand.
